Domestic Drainage CCTV Qualification
XTI Ltd is proud to be hosting the National Association of Drainage Contractors' (NADC) approved training course for the Domestic Drainage CCTV Qualification, in partnership with the National Drainage Academy (NDA) and Viewline.
The course will instruct CCTV operatives how to accurately identify defects, make a condition assessment of the pipe with an appropriate repair recommendation as well as apply the correct codes.
Due to the short fall within the drainage industry, companies are calling out for competence qualified investigators in the area of CCTV investigation to carry out their domestic and light commercial CCTV surveys.
The Domestic Drainage CCTV Qualification has been designed by the WRc in conjunction with the NADC and the NDA.
The course content includes the following:
- Drain ownership and sewerage law
- Domestic drain design, drain misconnections and components
- Drain investigation best practice
- CCTV survey practical exercise
- Domestic drainage classification coding
- Condition grading and the need for drain repair
- Selection and specification of the correct drain repair technique
Assessment will be via multiple choice questions, interpretation of drainage images and practical assessment of camera operation.
The duration of the course will be 2 days at a cost per candidate of £350.00. A £20.00 NADC registration fee will be subsequently applicable to successful candidates.
Courses are available at XTI’s premises in Lees, Lancashire (near Oldham), Bristol, Southampton, Exeter and Plymouth. Accommodation is not included in the cost, and will need to be arranged by each candidate, but XTI is happy to recommend local B&Bs, hotels and self-catering lets.
